I went highlight crazy on this article! Finally someone said it! Black male characters seem to always be stereotypes of some sort. And it can go either way — either all good or all bad. It’s like the Black man either has to be the hyper sexual/criminal/rapist/drug dealer/pimp/underworld outrageous character, OR he’s childlike/godlike/asexual/sidekick/do no wrong and have no real feelings ever guy. Enough! Thank Goodness for the Randall character and I hope for more to come.
