Rest is at the heart of God's commandment that his people must take a day off. Exodus 20:10: but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. It's not lazy at all to take a day off for rest and worship. In fact, to do so, is more righteous than working ourselves into the ground.
